Greco Mirage
A beautiful example of a FujiGen built instrument. The Greco Mirage was built in conjunction with the Ibanez Iceman, the Ibanez branded guitars were exported to the US and Europe and the Greco's were sold domestically within Japan.
Made famous by KISS' Paul Stanley (amongst others), the Mirage is a stunning take on a dual humbucking guitar with a much more striking body shape than a traditional Les Paul.
Our Mirage is a particularly fascinating one as it isn't a catalog model and we can't find another like it! The specs are identical to the M-1000 but ours is sporting the Chrome scratchplate and TRC that would be found on the Ibanez PS10 (albeit with 1 less tone control and different branding).
It's 100% original and completely untouched; the most logical explanation would be a small special run for a shop in Japan. A rare bird indeed.
Spec:
- Mahogany body
- Mahogany neck
- Rosewood fingerboard
- 22 medium jumbo frets
- 2x Maxon U-1000 pickups
- 3-way selector
- 2x Volume Control
- 2x Tone Control
- Tune-o-matic style bridge
- Pat Pend Greco string through tuners
- Original hardcase
Our old mirage is in excellent condition for a guitar pushing on 45 years old, it's been a case queen most of its life by the looks of it and has hardly been played! Freshly set up with a set of Daddario 10's and ready to go!
