Fender ST72-55
The original reissue. The JV (or Japanese Vintage or Joint Venture depending who you ask..) were the first Fender/Squier guitars built in Japan in the FujiGen factory. The Squier branded guitars were sold domestically and exported and the Fender branded models were only sold domestically in Japan.
Our '72 reissue is an absolute peach, you'd be forgiven for believing the JV hype once you get your hands round this gorgeous maple neck! This is an interesting JV as it is almost probably an 1985 model but it could also be an late '84 build, (the ST72-55 wasn't introduced until 1985) however it still has a JV serial. We've had a JB62 JV that was built in 1985, it was a transitional year from JV/SQ serials to E serials. It's not important really but we do like to do our due diligence as far as research is concerned!

Our old '72 has been loved and has the scars to prove it! There's some lovely patina, dinks and dents here and there but it wears them all very well! The frets have been levelled and recrowned. Freshly set up with Daddario 10's and ready to go!
