A killer short scale Stratocaster from Fender Japan. That's right, a 24" scale Strat! The Japanese loved playing with Scale Lengths, they also offer a 'medium scale' which is essentially Gibson 24.75" on Fender models. Love Strats but much prefer the shorter Scale Length of your Jag/Mustang, this is the guitar for you!
It's not just the neck that's shorter on this however, the entire body is noticeably smaller than on a standard Strat, and the controls have been streamlined with just a Master Volume and Tone.
This is a special Order Made guitar (dictated by the Order Made stamp in the neck pocket) which means it won't be found in any catalog, these are normally short runs of guitars for big retailers in Japan. This model is equipped stock with a pair of Dimarzio HS-3 pickups and a Maple neck (STS-55's were only available with a Rosewood fingerboard in the catalog).
- Alder body
- Maple neck
- 22 frets
- 2x Dimarzio HS-3 pickups in the bridge and neck posistion
- 1x Fender ST-Vintage in the middle
- Master Volume
- Master Tone
- 2-point pivot tremolo with 6 adjustable saddles
- Gotoh tuners
Our old Strat is in good condition for it's age, there's a couple of age related marks here and there (pictured) but nothing unsightly. Freshly set up with Daddario 11's and ready to go!
