Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom
A truly special guitar. Orville by Gibson guitars were produced under the watchful eye of Gibson in Japan in the 80's and 90's. These guitars were sold for the domestic Japanese market, as an attempt to try and combat the highly popular and successful copy market. They were never exported out of Japan and have gained a cult following; with good reason too as they are incredible instruments that could rival any American built Gibson.
Our humble custom is a players grade guitar (and is priced as such). It's had a headstock repair at some point as you can see from the pictures to the right of the TRC. We've refinished the back of the headstock and neck with nitro. Whoever repaired the headstock did a lovely job of the fix but a poor job or refinishing the neck so we rectified that! We've also levelled and recrowned the frets.
Other than the repair and a set of vintage aged speed knobs, the guitar is 100% original.

As I have said above, this is a players grade guitar. It's been loved (as all good guitars should) and therefore shows signs of use. There's scratches, yellowing to the binding and oxidisation to the gold hardware. Freshly set up with Daddario 10's and ready for another 30 years of rockin'!
