Fender CST-50R
A lovely 70's style Strat from Fender Japan. The CST-50 is a little bit of an oddity - the CST model was originally a Squier Japan model in the early days of Fender Japan. Fender Japan clearly had surplus CST bodies and necks so they used them to produce a Fender variant of the CST model in the late 80's/early 90's, that's what you see here!
The big difference between the ST72 and CST is that Fender Japan had started using Basswood for the bodies of the ST72's into the 90's, whereas the CST is made of Japanese Ash (Sen).

Our old CST has had a life and it shows, there's some bumps and scrapes to the body as well as some scratches to the back of the neck but it wears them really well! Freshly set up with D'Addario 10's and ready to go!
