Squier PJ-555
A lovely vintage thumper. Part of the Contemporary line of guitars and basses introduced by Fender Japan in 1983, this PJ-555 is about the most red bass guitar we've ever seen. In many ways the PJ-555 was the pre-curser to the Fender Jazz Bass Special introduced a year or so later, albeit with a Squier decal instead of a Fender one. We love the versatility of these bass guitars, capable of covering a huge amount of sonic territory and looking very cool whilst doing it!
Our PJ-555 has been upgraded with a set of vintage EMG pickups and CTS pots throughout, a very tidy job likely done by a shop or luthier. It really opens up this little thumper even more!

Our old Squier is in great condition for a guitar of this age. It's been played and has plenty of mojo present to the body but wears it very well! Frets have been freshly levelled and crowned. Restrung with Daddario 45's and freshly set up!
