Elite TW-40
A gorgeous example of a 1970's Takamine. Elite guitars were produced by Takamine in the 70's. Our TW-40 is very much inspired by a popular American Dreadnought and it sounds very similar too!
When this guitar landed in our laps we knew it was special, so we went the full 9 yards on this old Elite to bring it back to life. The frets were sprouting all down the board, so we decided to treat the old girl to a full refret with Jescar 2.5mm fretwire. Now it's playing beautifully with a slick action and it sounds incredible.
It's a privilege to bring old guitars back to life and this might just be my favourite restoration we've ever done. I don't want to let it go but you can't keep them all, whoever picks this up is getting a very special old guitar.

Our old Elite is in excellent condition for a guitar of this vintage. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should. The binding has yellowed beautifully over the years. Fresh refret and set up with a set of D'Addario 12's. Ready for another lifetime of music!
